Don’t call women ‘guys’

During an interview Monday on MSNBC, anchor Tamron Hall coached Democrat Howard Dean to avoid referring to large groups of people as “you guys.” She said it was “lazy talk,” even when used in an informal way.

That’s right.

People hate being told how to talk but there’s something all men should understand: Women appreciate it when they’re noticed, particularly in a complimentary way.

Women should be addressed as “ladies.”

For extra points, “Young ladies.”

Even worse about the exchange between Hall and Dean is that he defended his use of “guys” as a “millennial-ese” term for people in general.

Millennials don’t exist. And Howard Dean is 67.

He’s not a millennial. He’s a mummy.
